At royston house we experience over 50 different bird species throughout the year including the birds that winter near the K'omoks Estuary. K'omoks IBA is an amalgamation of former Important Bird Areas: Lambert Channel/Hornby Island, Baynes Sound, Comox Valley, and they share populations of waterbirds common to this area.
